“Had my first tattoo removal session here and had a really positive experience. The technician was very gentle, patient, and took the time to explain the entire process in detail before starting. I appreciated how thorough the consultation and preparation were, which helped ease a lot of my anxiety.

The studio is private, clean, and well-maintained, making the whole experience feel comfortable and professional. I felt well taken care of throughout the appointment and never felt rushed.

If you’re nervous about tattoo removal or looking for a clean and welcoming studio, I would definitely recommend checking them out.”

“Leon did my laser removal for both my eyebrow tattoo and a tattoo on my arm in one session. He was really friendly and easy to talk to. He explained everything clearly and was very knowledgeable, which made the whole process feel comfortable. The treatment itself was quick and the pain was minimal. Overall, it was a great experience and I’d definitely recommend him!!”

FAQ

Quick answers.

The questions we hear most. Aftercare, healing and how the laser works are covered in full in our knowledge section.

Where are your studios?
We have two private studios. Richmond: free parking, about 15 minutes’ drive from Vancouver. Downtown Vancouver: a 3-minute walk from Vancouver City Centre and Granville stations, for tattoo and eyebrow removal. Message us for the Downtown address.
How many sessions will I need?
Most tattoos take 6 to 12 sessions for complete removal, or 3 to 6 to fade for a cover-up. We give you a realistic range once we have seen a photo.
Does it hurt?
Most people compare it to an elastic band snapping on the skin. Sessions are short, cooling runs throughout, and numbing cream is available.
How far apart are sessions?
Six to eight weeks, so your body has time to clear the broken-up ink. We send a reminder when your next session is due.
Can you remove coloured ink?
Yes. Every colour can be removed. Our laser has four wavelengths, including 660 nm for green and 595 nm for blue.
How do I get a price?
Send a photo on WhatsApp. We reply with a quote, usually within one business day.

Pro 1 Pico

Our machine

We lighten or remove tattoos with the Pro 1 Pico, using the 532, 595, 660 and 1064 nm wavelengths.

It combines picosecond, Q-switched and long-pulse Nd:YAG in one workstation. The four wavelengths cover black and brown, blue and green, and red, orange and yellow ink, and 1064 nm is the safest option on deeper skin tones.

Up to 1600 mJ per picosecond pulse lets us hold treatment strength across an 2 to 10 mm spot, so the energy reaches deeper ink without shrinking the beam to a pinpoint.

How it works

The technology

One wavelength cannot clear every colour.

Our machine combines 532 · 595 · 660 · 1064 nm in a single laser.

500-picosecond pulses deliver energy to the ink, with the wavelength and energy tuned to each tattoo.

How laser tattoo removal works, step 1: ink particles in the dermis
01 · Ink in the dermis

Tattoo ink sits in the dermis. Your immune cells try to clear it, but the particles are too large to remove.

How laser tattoo removal works, step 2: the picosecond laser shatters the ink
02 · Picosecond laser

Our machine delivers energy in 500-picosecond pulses, breaking the pigment into much smaller particles.

How laser tattoo removal works, step 3: the lymphatic system clears the ink
03 · Lymphatic clearance

Your lymphatic system then clears them gradually, which is why sessions are spaced at least six weeks apart.

How laser tattoo removal works, step 4: the tattoo fades over several sessions
04 · Multiple sessions

Most tattoos take six to twelve sessions, depending on the ink colour, depth and your skin type.

A picosecond laser fires pulses so short that ink is broken apart by pressure rather than cooked by heat. The particles come out smaller, your body clears them more easily, and the skin around them takes less heat.

Cost

What does it cost?

Sessions start at $80. The price per session depends on the size of the tattoo: very small pieces sit at the minimum, and anything larger is quoted from a photo.

Message us a photo and we reply with your price, usually within one business day. That is the price you pay. Nothing is added at the consultation and nobody will try to upsell you.

How many sessions

3–6 sessions
Small, fine-line or script

Names, dates and minimal line work usually clear fastest.

4–8 sessions
Complete removal

Dense, older or professional work taken all the way back to skin.

6–12 sessions
Mixed and colour work

Every colour answers to a different wavelength, so colour pieces often take longer than black. White, pastels and ink mixed with white may not fully clear. Red starts with a test spot.

8–15 sessions

Sessions are six to eight weeks apart. Ranges only: your count depends on size, colour, depth, placement and your own immune system.

FAQ

Before your first session

How do I get a price?
Sessions start at $80 and the price depends on size. Message a photo on WhatsApp and we reply with your price, usually within one business day.
How many sessions will it take?
Most tattoos fade noticeably after three to six sessions. Complete removal usually takes six to twelve. Colour, depth, age, placement and your own immune system all change the count, so we will not promise a number before we have seen it.
Does it hurt?
It is uncomfortable rather than unbearable. Most people describe it as an elastic band snapping against the skin. Each session is short, we use cooling throughout, and numbing cream is available.
Will it leave a scar?
Properly performed laser removal does not scar in the great majority of cases, but no laser treatment is risk-free. Risk rises if the area is treated too aggressively, if sessions are too close together, or if scabs are picked during healing. We patch test first and send written aftercare home with you.
Can you remove green and blue ink?
Yes. Green and blue are the hardest colours, and many clinics run only one or two wavelengths. Our system runs four, and 660 nm is specifically for green.
Is it safe on darker or Asian skin tones?
Yes, with the right wavelength and settings. We use 1064 nm on deeper skin tones because melanin absorbs very little of it. We assess your skin type and patch test before the first full session.
How long between sessions?
At least six to eight weeks. Longer is fine and often helps.
Can I have treatment while pregnant or breastfeeding?
No. We postpone laser treatment until after pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Service 03

Carbon Peel

Also called the Hollywood peel or carbon laser facial. A thin carbon layer draws out oil and debris, then the laser lifts it away with the top layer of dead skin. Pores look smaller, oil calms down and skin looks brighter, with no downtime.

  • 1064 nm Nd:YAG
  • About 30 minutes per session
  • No downtime back to your day
  • All skin types
What it helps

Who it is for.

A good fit if your skin is oily, congested or just looks tired, and you do not want to hide at home afterwards.

Enlarged pores close-up, a concern carbon laser peel treats

Enlarged pores

Deep-cleaned and tightened, so they look smaller.

Blackheads close-up, a concern carbon laser peel treats

Blackheads

Carbon binds to what sits in the pore and the laser clears both.

Oily skin close-up, a concern carbon laser peel treats

Oily skin

Calms oil production in the T-zone for weeks after.

Mild acne close-up, a concern carbon laser peel treats

Mild acne

Fewer blocked pores and calmer breakouts.

Dull, uneven skin tone close-up, a concern carbon laser peel treats

Dull, uneven tone

Lifts dead skin for a brighter, more even look.

Rough skin texture close-up, a concern carbon laser peel treats

Rough texture

New collagen softens fine lines and rough patches.

How it works

Two steps, one gentle session.

A thin layer of medical-grade carbon is spread over clean skin and left to settle into the pores, where it binds to oil and dead cells. The laser then passes over the area. Carbon absorbs that energy quickly, heats and breaks apart, and lifts away what it was holding onto.

Carbon grabs the build-up

It sinks into pores and holds onto oil and dead skin, which is why oily, congested skin sees the biggest change.

The laser lifts it away

The energy is taken up by the carbon, not aimed at your own pigment, so the treatment stays on the surface and comfortable.

Gentle warmth, smoother skin

The heat tightens the look of pores straight away and encourages new collagen over the following weeks.

No acids, no peeling

Nothing flakes off in the days after. Skin may look a little pink for an hour or two, then it is back to normal.

Cost

What does it cost?

You pay per session, and a course of sessions costs less per visit. The price depends on the area: face, face and neck, or back.

The usual steps

What happens during a session?

About 30 minutes from start to finish.

1

Cleanse and check. Makeup and SPF come off, and we look at oil, congestion and any pigmentation to confirm the treatment suits your skin.

2

Carbon layer. A thin carbon lotion is applied and left for a few minutes to settle into the pores.

3

Laser pass. The laser clears the carbon along with surface debris. Most people feel warmth and light snapping. You wear eye protection throughout.

4

Refining pass (if needed). A gentler pass over the whole area for an even, refined finish, depending on your skin and goals.

5

Soothe and protect. Moisturiser and SPF before you leave. Any pinkness settles within an hour or two, and makeup is fine the same day.

FAQ

Before your first session

Does it hurt?
No. Most people feel warmth and a light snapping or tingling. No numbing is needed.
Is there downtime?
No. Skin can look a little pink for an hour or two. You can go straight back to work, and makeup is fine the same day.
How soon will I see results?
Most people see brighter, smoother skin straight after the first session. Changes to pores, oil and acne build over a course.
How many sessions do I need?
One is enough for an event. For oily skin, pores or acne, most people do three to six sessions, two to four weeks apart.
Is it safe for my skin type?
Carbon peel suits all skin types, including darker skin, because 1064 nm passes melanin with little absorption. We check your skin at the consultation first.
How should I prepare?
Avoid sun exposure and tanning for a week before. Stop retinoids and exfoliating acids a few days before. Come with a clean face if you can.
What should I do afterwards?
Moisturise, wear SPF every day, and skip exfoliants and retinoids for a few days.
Can I have it while pregnant or breastfeeding?
No. We postpone laser treatment until after pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Fade or Remove

Two goals, two plans

Fading for a cover-up

Lightening an old tattoo gives your artist a cleaner base, so the new design sits on top without the old lines showing through. Most cover-ups need 3 to 6 sessions. We are happy to speak with your artist directly to agree how light it needs to be before they start.

Complete removal

Full removal is gradual. Most clients see a clear change after 2 to 3 sessions, and complete clearance usually takes 6 to 12, depending on the ink, depth and colour.

Photos you can trust

Results can be made to look better with a change of lighting or angle. We photograph every visit at the same distance under the same light, and label each image with its session number, so what you see is the real progress.

FAQ · Knowledge

Everything we get asked, answered properly.

Answers for every treatment we offer: tattoo removal, brow removal, carbon peel and hair removal. If the honest answer is "it depends on seeing it", that is what it says.

How it works

The technology

One wavelength cannot clear every colour.

Our machine combines 532 · 595 · 660 · 1064 nm in a single laser.

500-picosecond pulses deliver energy to the ink, with the wavelength and energy tuned to each tattoo.

01

Tattoo removal

How does laser tattoo removal work?
The laser fires pulses so short that ink absorbs the energy before heat can spread. The ink shatters into fragments small enough for your immune system to carry away over the next few weeks. The laser breaks it up; your body does the removing.
How many sessions will I need?
Most tattoos take 6 to 12 sessions for complete removal, or 3 to 6 to fade for a cover-up. Size, age, colours, ink density, placement and your own immune system all change the number. We give you a realistic range once we have seen a photo.
Why do I have to wait six to eight weeks between sessions?
Because the clearing happens between appointments. Treating again before your body has finished wastes a session and raises the risk of scarring. Longer gaps are fine and often help.
Does it hurt?
It feels like an elastic band snapping on the skin. Sessions are short, cooling runs throughout and numbing cream is available. Most people say it is easier than getting the tattoo.
Can every colour be removed?
Black and dark blue respond best. Red and orange respond well. Green, light blue and purple are the hardest, which is why we use four wavelengths, including 660 nm for green. White, flesh tones and some yellows can darken at first, so we test a small spot before treating them.
Will it scar?
When the settings are right and the gaps are respected, scarring is rare. The main risks come from treating too aggressively, sessions too close together, or picking at scabs. If the tattoo already has scarring from when it was done, that texture will stay after the ink is gone.
Is it safe on darker skin?
Yes, with the right wavelength. We use 1064 nm on deeper skin tones because the skin's own pigment absorbs very little of it, and we patch test first. Temporary lightening or darkening of the skin can happen and usually settles over a few months.
What does the skin look like after a session?
The area turns white for a few minutes (called frosting), then red and slightly swollen. Blisters or light scabbing over the next few days are normal. Most people are back to their day straight away.
Can you remove part of a tattoo, or a tattoo on my face?
Yes to both. We can treat just one section, such as a name inside a larger piece. Face and neck tattoos can be treated too, with eye protection and extra care around the eyes.
I had a bad reaction to the ink. Can I still have removal?
Tell us before we start. Some red inks cause allergic reactions, and breaking them up can trigger that reaction again. We will assess it at the consultation and may refer you to a doctor first.
02

Brow & PMU removal

Should I remove my brows, or can I just redo them?
If you like the shape, the old brows are light and the colour has not changed, a new artist can often work over them. If the pigment has built up, turned orange, red, blue or grey, or you want a different shape, laser first gives your artist a clean canvas.
How many sessions will my brows need?
Lightening for a redo usually takes 1 to 3 sessions. Complete removal usually takes 3 to 6, at least eight weeks apart. Deep, layered or colour-shifted pigment takes longer.
Will my brows change colour during removal?
They can. Brow pigment often has warm tones underneath, and once the dark layer lifts, a red, orange or peach tone may show for a while. Yellow is the hardest to clear. We cannot predict for certain.
Will I lose my brow hair?
The risk is low with careful settings. Hair in the treated area can lighten or thin for a while and usually recovers over a few months. We never shave your brows.
Is it safe so close to my eyes?
Yes. You wear protective eye shields for the whole treatment, and we work away from the eye. Brows are treated with lower settings than a body tattoo.
I just had PMU done. How long should I wait?
At least 12 weeks after your last PMU session before starting removal, and at least 12 weeks after your last laser session before new PMU. If your brows are tinted or laminated, wait until that has fully faded.
What is healing like?
Expect some redness and swelling for a day or two, then light scabbing for about a week. Keep the area dry and out of the sun and do not pick. Makeup is fine on the area after 12 hours.
03

Carbon peel

What is a carbon peel?
Also called the Hollywood peel or carbon laser facial. We paint a thin layer of carbon over clean skin, let it settle into the pores, then pass the laser over it. The laser breaks up the carbon, taking oil, debris and dead skin cells with it.
What does it help with?
Enlarged pores, oily skin, mild acne and blackheads, dull or uneven tone, and fine texture. It is a maintenance treatment for skin that looks congested or tired. It will not fix deep acne scars or significant pigmentation on its own.
Does it hurt?
No. Most people feel warmth and a light snapping or tingling. No numbing is needed.
Is there downtime?
No. Your skin may look a little pink for an hour or two. You can go straight back to work, and makeup is fine the same day.
How soon will I see results, and how many sessions do I need?
Most people see brighter, smoother skin straight after the first session. For pores, oil and acne, most people do 3 to 6 sessions, two to four weeks apart, then monthly or before special occasions.
Is it safe for all skin types?
Carbon peel suits all skin types, including darker skin, because 1064 nm passes the skin's own pigment with little absorption. It is also gentle enough for sensitive skin. We check your skin at the consultation first.
Who should not have a carbon peel?
We postpone if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have active cold sores or an open wound on the face, a recent sunburn, or have taken isotretinoin (Accutane) in the past six months.
How should I prepare and what do I do after?
Avoid tanning for a week and stop retinoids and exfoliating acids three to five days before. Afterwards, moisturise, wear SPF every day, and skip exfoliants and retinoids for a few days.
04

Laser hair removal

How does laser hair removal work?
The laser is absorbed by the pigment in the hair and turns to heat, which disables the follicle. The surrounding skin absorbs very little. Only hair in its growth phase responds, which is why it takes a course of sessions.
How many sessions will I need?
Most areas need 6 to 8 sessions: four to six weeks apart for the face and six to eight weeks for the body. Hormones, hair colour and thickness all change the number.
Is it permanent?
It is a long-term reduction. Most treated hair does not come back, and what does usually grows back finer and lighter. Some people need a touch-up once or twice a year, especially on the face.
Does it work on every hair colour and skin tone?
It works best on dark hair. Blonde, red, grey and white hair has too little pigment for the laser to target, so results are limited. For skin, we use 1064 nm on deeper skin tones because it is the safest wavelength for them.
Does it hurt?
Most people describe a quick snap, like an elastic band. Cooling runs throughout. Sensitive areas such as the bikini line and upper lip feel stronger.
How should I prepare?
Shave the area the day before. Do not wax, pluck or thread for four weeks before, because the laser needs the root in place. Avoid tanning and self-tan for two weeks, and tell us about any medication.
What should I do after a session?
Skip hot showers, saunas and the gym for 24 hours. Wear SPF on treated skin and avoid tanning for two weeks. Treated hairs shed over one to three weeks, which can look like regrowth. You can shave between sessions.
How do I choose a hair removal clinic?
Check that the laser is licensed, that the person treating you is trained, that they assess your skin type and patch test first, that the price is clear in writing, and that they give you honest expectations. A clinic that promises 100% removal in a few sessions is overselling.
05

Booking & safety

Where are your studios?
We have two private studios. Richmond: free parking, about 15 minutes’ drive from Vancouver. Downtown Vancouver: a 3-minute walk from Vancouver City Centre and Granville stations, for tattoo and eyebrow removal. Message us for the Downtown address.
How do I get a price?
Send a photo of the area on WhatsApp with its rough size. We reply with a price and a realistic session count, usually within one business day. That is the price you pay.
Is the consultation free?
Yes. By phone, message or in person, with no obligation to book.
Who should not have laser treatment?
We postpone treatment during pregnancy and breastfeeding, and on skin that is sunburnt, freshly tanned, broken or infected. Tell us about any medication that makes you sensitive to light, a history of keloid scarring, or conditions such as epilepsy or diabetes.
Can I have more than one treatment in the same visit?
Often, yes. Several clients do a brow and a tattoo on the same day. We will tell you what can safely be combined.

FAQ · Aftercare

Laser Tattoo Removal Aftercare

What to expect in the hours, days and weeks after treatment, and what to do and avoid while the area heals.

Timeline

The fortnight after.

How well you look after the area between sessions changes your result more than any setting on the machine. Written aftercare goes home with you; this is the same thing.

Hour 0–1

Frosting

The area goes white immediately and settles within the hour. Expected, not a burn. A dressing goes on before you leave.

Day 1–3

Swelling

Redness, warmth and some swelling. Ice on and off for the first 48 hours, a few minutes at a time.

Day 3–14

Healing

Scabs or blisters may form. Leave them alone — picking is the single most common cause of scarring.

Week 2–8

Clearing

The visible fading happens now, quietly. SPF 50 on the area every day it sees daylight.

Reminder

The first 48 hours

Reminder for aftercare, recommended within 48hours to ice the area on and off to reduce swelling and help with recovery. Don’t ice too long at once. If you have aloe gel, keep it in the fridge and apply at night. During the day leave it exposed so it can breathe. Use sunscreen or keep the area covered if you must be exposed to the sun.

You can shower normally, but avoid hot water and don’t scrub. Gently pat dry and treat it like a mild sunburn.

It can be normal to have itching, blistering, or scabbing. Don’t scratch the area or peel the scabs. After about 1 week, you can moisturize if it feels dry.

Do
Keep it clean and dry
Gentle unscented cleanser, pat dry.
SPF 50 on the area if exposed to sun
Sun on a healing laser site is the main cause of pigment change. This matters more than anything else on this page.
Message us a photo if anything looks wrong
Spreading redness, heat, pus or pain that increases after day three all warrant a message.
Don't
Don't pick, scratch or peel a scab
A scab is the dressing your body made. Removing it early is how a clean session turns into a textural scar.
No pools, hot tubs, sauna or hot yoga for two weeks
Submersion and heavy sweating on an open site are an infection risk. Showers are fine from day one.
Don't book the next session early
Closing the gap does not speed anything up. It wastes a session and raises the scarring risk.

Aftercare for hair removal and carbon peel is lighter — no dressing, SPF and no heat for 24 hours. We go through it in the room.

The technology

Four wavelengths.
One workstation.

The Pro 1 Pico runs three laser platforms in a single chassis — picosecond, Q-switched and long-pulse Nd:YAG. That is why black ink, green ink, hair and pigment are all treated in the same room, often in the same appointment.

Wavelength map

Every colour needs its own light.

Ink absorbs some wavelengths and ignores others. A clinic with one or two wavelengths is not being careless when it turns your green tattoo away — it physically cannot treat it.

WavelengthWhat it treatsAlso powers
1064 nmBlack, dark blue, deep dermal ink. Deepest penetration, and the safest choice on deeper skin tones because melanin absorbs very little of it.Hair removal, carbon peel
532 nmRed, orange, yellow and brown ink. Sun spots, freckles and superficial pigment.Pigmentation
595 nmBlue and green ink. Vascular lesions.Vascular work
660 nmGreen ink — the hardest colour in tattoo removal.—
Three modes

Fragment, heat, remodel.

Mode 01 · Picosecond

Fragment

500-picosecond pulses shatter ink mechanically — a pressure wave, not a burn. Used for tattoo removal, PMU removal and pigment.

Mode 02 · Long-pulse Nd:YAG

Heat

A longer thermal pulse aimed at the follicle or the vessel, leaving the skin surface undisturbed. Hair removal and carbon peel.

Mode 03 · PulseStack 750

Remodel

Stacked pulses build a controlled thermal reservoir to stimulate collagen and calm active acne. Fractional resurfacing via PicoMatrix.

No consumables

Per treatment

Nothing is consumed per session, which is part of why per-session pricing can stay where it is.

Maximum energy, spot sizes and repetition rate are not published by the manufacturer and are deliberately not quoted here.

Your questions

What people ask us first.

How does laser remove brow pigment?

Picosecond pulses break the pigment into particles small enough for your body to clear. Because each pulse is so short, less heat reaches the skin and the hair follicles next to the pigment.

532 nm targets warm tones like red and orange. 1064 nm targets dark and grey pigment.

How many sessions will I need?

Most clients see clear fading after one or two sessions. Lightening for a redo usually takes one to three. Complete removal usually takes three to six.

Deep, layered or colour-shifted pigment takes longer.

Will my brows change colour?

They can. Brow pigment often has warm undertones, and once the dark layer lifts, a red, orange or peach tone may show for a while. Yellow is the hardest to clear. We cannot predict for certain.

Will I lose my brow hair?

The risk is low with careful settings. Hair in the treated area can lighten or thin temporarily and usually recovers over a few months. We never shave your brows.

How long does it take to heal?

About a week. Keep the area dry and out of direct sun, and do not pick. Makeup is fine on the area after 12 hours.

Sessions are spaced at least eight weeks apart.

When can I get new brows done?

At least 12 weeks after your last laser session. If you only need part of the brow cleared, we can treat just that area before your artist redoes it.

Cost

What does it cost?

You pay per session, with a session minimum. The consultation is free, a partial correction costs less than a full brow, and a pack of three saves on the full course.

Send a photo of your brows in natural light and we reply with your price, usually within one business day. That is the price you pay.

Service 04

Laser Hair Removal

Less shaving, less waxing, fewer ingrown hairs. Laser light targets the pigment in each hair and disables the follicle, so hair grows back finer and sparser after every session.

Is laser right for your hair?

Laser works on hair that has pigment and is in its growth phase. That is why it takes a course of sessions, and why a few hair types respond better than others.

Works well

Good candidates

  • ✓Dark hair, on any skin tone
  • ✓Coarse or thick hair
  • ✓Shaving rash or ingrown hairs
  • ✓Areas you shave or wax often
Talk to us first

We will check before booking

  • ✓Blonde, red, grey or white hair
  • ✓Recent tanning or sunburn
  • ✓Photosensitising medication
  • ✓Hormonal conditions such as PCOS
  • ✓Pregnancy or breastfeeding

Not sure? Send a photo of the area and we will tell you honestly whether laser will work.

Choosing a clinic

Six things to check before you book anywhere.

Laser hair removal is simple when it is done well and costly to fix when it is not. Ask any clinic, including us, about these first.

01

A licensed medical laser

Ask which device they use and whether it is licensed by Health Canada.

02

A trained operator

Settings should be chosen for your skin and hair, not a preset.

03

A skin-type assessment

Your skin tone decides the wavelength. The wrong one on darker skin can burn.

04

A patch test

A small test area before the full session, then a check a few days later.

05

Clear pricing

A per-session or package price in writing, with no surprise add-ons.

06

Honest expectations

Reduction, not a promise of 100%. Touch-ups may be needed over the years.

Your questions

What people ask us first.

How does it work?

The laser is absorbed by the pigment in the hair and turns to heat, which disables the follicle. The surrounding skin absorbs very little.

1064 nm passes melanin in the skin with little absorption, which makes it the safer choice for deeper skin tones.

How many sessions will I need?

Most areas need six to eight sessions, four to six weeks apart for the face and six to eight weeks for the body. Hair grows in cycles, and only hair in its growth phase responds.

Is it permanent?

It is a long-term reduction. Most treated hair does not return, and what does usually grows back finer and lighter. Some people need a touch-up once or twice a year.

Does it hurt?

Most people describe a quick snap, like an elastic band. Cooling runs throughout. Sensitive areas such as the bikini line feel stronger.

How should I prepare?

Shave the area the day before. Do not wax, pluck or thread for four weeks before, because the laser needs the root in place. Avoid tanning and self-tan for two weeks.

FAQ

A few more answers

What should I do after a session?
Skip hot showers, saunas and the gym for 24 hours. Wear SPF on treated skin, and avoid tanning for two weeks.
Why is hair still coming out after my session?
Treated hairs shed over the next one to three weeks. It can look like regrowth, but they will fall out on their own.
Can I shave between sessions?
Yes. Shaving is fine. Do not wax, pluck or thread, because those remove the root the laser needs.
Does it work on blonde or grey hair?
Usually not well. Laser needs pigment in the hair to target. We will tell you honestly at the consultation.
Can I be treated while pregnant or breastfeeding?
No. We postpone laser treatment until after pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Terms and Conditions

Last updated: September 30, 2026

These Terms apply when you use inkwasher.com, request a booking, or receive treatment from Inkwasher Studio in Richmond or Downtown Vancouver, BC. By booking or receiving treatment you agree to these Terms. Your signed Patient Consent Form also applies; if the two differ, the Consent Form governs your treatment.

The exact address is sent once your consultation is booked.

1. Our services

We offer laser tattoo removal, tattoo fading before a cover-up, eyebrow and permanent makeup (PMU) removal, laser hair removal, and carbon laser peel. Treatments use the Pro 1 Pico laser, a Health Canada licensed medical device (licence 114765).

All treatments are elective cosmetic procedures. We are not a medical clinic and do not diagnose medical conditions. If you have a health concern, see your doctor first.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be 18 or older and able to consent for yourself.
  • You must complete and sign our Patient Consent Form before your first treatment, and tell us before each visit if anything in your health history has changed.
  • We may decline or postpone treatment if it is not safe or suitable — for example recent Accutane use, pregnancy, active tan or sunburn, broken or infected skin, a history of keloid scarring, or a lesion that should first be checked by a doctor. If we decline before treatment begins, your deposit is refunded in full.

3. Consultations and booking requests

  • A booking request through our website is a request, not a confirmed appointment. Your appointment is confirmed only when we contact you to confirm it.
  • Consultations are [free]. Any quote given online or by message is an estimate until we assess your skin in person.

4. Deposits, cancellations and missed appointments

  • A deposit is required to secure your booking. The amount and how to pay it are confirmed with you when you book.
  • The deposit is applied to the price of your session.
  • Our Cancellation & Deposit Policy, which you agree to on the Patient Consent Form, applies. In short: cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before your appointment and your deposit is refunded or moved to your new time.
  • Less than 24 hours' notice, a late reschedule, or a no-show means the deposit is kept to cover the reserved time.
  • If you decide not to proceed after your in-person consultation, or if we cancel, your deposit is refunded in full.

5. Prices and payment

  • Prices depend on your treatment and are quoted after we assess you at consultation.
  • We confirm the price with you before treatment begins. Payment terms are agreed at that time.

6. Session packages

  • Package terms — number of sessions, how long they remain valid, and what happens to unused sessions — are agreed with you in writing when you buy.

7. Results

Every person responds differently. Most treatments need a series of sessions spaced weeks apart. Some inks — including white, metallic, some colours, and cosmetic tattoos — may fade only partly or not at all, and cosmetic tattoos can darken before they fade. We do not guarantee a specific result or number of sessions. Any estimate is our professional opinion, not a promise.

8. Your responsibilities

  • Give us complete and accurate health information, and update it before every session.
  • Follow the pre-treatment and aftercare instructions we give you, including sun protection.
  • Wear the protective eyewear we provide throughout treatment.
  • Tell us right away about any unusual reaction, such as blistering that does not settle, signs of infection, or an allergic reaction. If symptoms are severe, see a doctor or go to emergency.
  • Numbing cream is optional. If you use your own, tell us which product and how you applied it. Follow the product's directions — do not use more than directed or over a large area.

9. Photos

We take clinical photos as part of your treatment record. We will only use photos in marketing if you opt in separately on the Consent Form. See section 5 of our Privacy Policy for how we de-identify photos and how to withdraw consent.

10. Liability

  • We perform treatments with reasonable care and skill.
  • The risks and side effects described in your Consent Form can happen even when treatment is done correctly. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for those known risks, or for harm caused by inaccurate health information you gave us or by not following aftercare instructions.
  • Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for our own negligence or anything else that cannot be limited under BC law, or takes away your rights under the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act.

11. Website use

  • Content on inkwasher.com is general information, not medical advice.
  • Before-and-after images show real results for those clients; your results may differ.
  • Some videos and product images are supplied by the laser's manufacturer and are labelled as such. They do not show our clients.
  • The text, photos, logo and design of this website belong to Inkwasher or are used with permission. Do not copy them without our written consent.
  • Links to other websites are for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.

12. Conduct

We want our clinic to be safe for everyone. We may end an appointment, without refund of the deposit, if a client is abusive, harasses staff, or is under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

13. Complaints

If something is not right, email info@inkwasher.com. We reply within [3] business days and aim to resolve it within [14] days.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.

15. Changes

We may update these Terms. The version on our website when you book applies to that booking. A change will not reduce the value of a package you have already paid for.
